 FAQ's about Northstone Club

Is NorthStone Country Club private?
NorthStone is a totally private facility with a slightly different financial structure than traditional clubs.  NorthStone has no initiation fees, no monthly spending requirements and no assessments.   Dues, which are typically charged monthly at most private clubs, are billed annually at NorthStone.  There are, however, several payment options of which you may take advantage.

Can a non-member use the Club facilities?
All guests at NorthStone must be sponsored, and in most instances, accompanied by a NorthStone Member.  Guests are required to pay applicable guest fees and will be permitted to use the Club with few restrictions.  As NorthStone’s membership grows, guest access will be increasingly restricted to accommodate Member access to the Club.

Must you live in the NorthStone community to become a Member of the Club?
Absolutely not.  NorthStone Country Club will actively offer memberships to those living outside the community.

Do NorthStone homebuyers receive any extra benefits or discounts?
Resident NorthStone Members may, upon the resale of their NorthStone property, have the option of making their membership classification slot available (ahead of any waitlist) to the purchaser, subject to approval by the Club and payment of the current applicable annual dues.  The pro-rated remainder of the membership may be applied to the new homeowners one-year membership of like or greater value.

Are memberships transferable or refundable?
NorthStone Country Club annual memberships are not refundable.  Corporate Members may change the company designee annually at their renewal date without a designee transfer fee.  Residents may transfer the pro-rated remaining value of their membership upon sale of their home, to the purchaser.  The new homeowner may apply at the pro-rated value to a new one-year membership of like or greater value.

What if I am transferred or move from the community or simply do not wish to renew my membership…do I have to go on a waitlist to resign my membership?
Absolutely not.  Unlike the majority of country clubs in the area, membership at NorthStone only requires a one-year commitment.  You have the option each year whether or not to rejoin the Club.

Will there be a specific limit on the number of memberships sold?
Eventually, NorthStone Country Club will establish a waitlist.  Our criteria for the number of memberships sold will be based on activity levels rather than on a fixed number of Members.  We monitor the number of rounds of golf, dining room visits, pool patrons, etc. and the level of access along with wear and tear on the facility will determine when a waitlist is begun.

Will Non-Resident Members lose their memberships as the Club reaches its membership goals?
Non-Residents who join NorthStone Country Club are guaranteed their place on the membership roster as long as their renewal is timely.

Am I able to upgrade my membership to another classification before my 12 months is completed?
Yes.  Any membership may be upgraded during its term.  To do so, just stop by the Club Membership Office.  You will be credited the remaining pro-rated portion of the initial membership and will begin a new 12-month term with the upgrade.

I’m the only golfer in our house but the rest of my family wants non-golf access.  Do you have memberships that accommodate that scenario?
The Club offers the Family Sports membership which includes all areas of the Club for all family members.  Annually, 24 rounds of golf with no green fees are also included although Family Sports Members are not limited to 24 rounds.  Additional rounds may be played at the Preferred Member Rate.

Who owns NorthStone Country Club?
NorthStone is owned and operated by the developer - Rhein Properties as a for-profit business entity.  The Members of the Club have no voting rights and no equity interest in the Club, nor are they liable for Club debt or operating expenses.
