Northstone resident and 8 year old Huntersville Elementary School student Shannon Davis released her first CD @8 on July 12, 2011. She wrote the lyrics to three songs - Summer Is Fun, Life Is A Song and Bubble Gum Is Pink. The fourth song is a cover of the 80's hit, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun made famous by Cyndi Lauper.
